Bright lights, fast RAM.

Coming in at around $100 more than a regular Trident Z DDR4-3200 pack, the RGB option doesn’t seem like the most cost effective of memory solutions, and it’s not, but thanks to some great drivers and excellent performance, the Trident Z RGB line still has some serious appeal. Large LED strips replace the plastic caps that sit on standard Trident Z sticks. Without drivers, the sticks cycle through the colour gamut in a regular pattern, but with drivers (that appear to be licensed from the Asus Aura RGB drivers), users can control the colour, intensity and pattern of the lighting effects to a minute degree.

If the appeal of coloured lights is lost on you, the Trident Z RGB 32Gb DDR4-3200 pack still offers excellent, fast and well-cooled RAM. Whether or not you want to pay the premium for lights depends on whether your case is a featured attraction or something hidden under a desk.
